If convenience to the MRT station is what you're looking for, look no further. Da-An MRT station is just a short walk away. From the hotel, I also took a stroll to different places of interest to soak in the atmosphere - the lovely Da An Park, and Taipei 101 (It'll take you about 20-30 minutes to get to Taipei's tallest building). In the future, the Da An MRT entrance is located just at the entrance of the hotel. This is a new line that will bring you to Taipei 101.
Jac and I arrived at the hotel at 7.30am. We did not expect them to check us in, but we did leave our luggage at the reception area and took our time to explore the Taipei. We returned to the hotel at 11.30am and was pleased to know that our room was ready, even though it was stated that rooms would only be available at 3pm.
As for food consumption, I did not take up the hotel's breakfast as food was readily available. Sidewalk stall that sell noodles; Starbucks Coffee. As for the noodles, I was a little concerned about its cleanliness since there were road works around that area and the noodles were left largely open to the elements. I threw caution to the wind anyways.
Room-wise, it was a pretty comfy stay. No complaints whatsoever.
